Although membership requirements state you must be at least 18 years of age to be a member of the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps, we do offer a program called the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps Junior Corps. This organization trains its' members in first aid so that they may:
Demonstrate
First Aid and CPR techniques to others.
Render
First Aid and CPR whenever needed.
Encourage
awareness and accident prevention.
Assist
the Corps in providing emergency medical care to the people in the Town /
Village of Mount Kisco and it's response area.
Eligibility:
Any person between the ages of fifteen (15) and eighteen (18) who resides locally, or is a student in the Bedford Central School District is eligible to join the Junior Corps.
Junior Corps members must be at least sixteen years old (16) and have a valid CPR BLS-C, and Standard First Aid cards prior to riding the ambulance.
Junior
Corps members may only ride the ambulance after being approved by all Junior
Corps advisors and the Corps Captain.
Junior Corps members not having reached their 16th birthday will be eligible for community service credit for school or other reasons though activities done in the Corps. Credited activities include, and are not limited to participate in:
Cleanups
Parades
Stand-by functions
Training
